ONES - For Week of April 26

This week you'll get started on your next site, for which we're using the ample resources of www.wix.com

Requirements, as will be discussed in class:

The subject of your site must be one of the following—a historical figure, a religious figure, or a fictional character from a work of literature you studied this school year. All subjects must be approved by me, and cannot be changed once work has begun. Your subject must be selling one or more goods or services on the site.

You must address the following, at a minimum:

• Who is the subject? A Bio page.
• What good or services are being offered? Include examples.
• Where are they located and are services offered?
• Hours of operation if a service.
• Why customer should purchase from the subject.
• Testimonials from satisfied customers.
• Contact information.

Include whatever else you feel appropriate for your customer's site. I do expect you to include graphics beyond those provided by the template.

TWOS - For Week of April 19

It would be REALLY nice to have the Trees project completed (and browser-tested) by the end of the week.

We also need to talk Senior projects this week...

ONES - For Week of April 19

This week - Service site project.

Create a website describing the ways you have completed your service hours (and any additional service-related activities you may have spent time on) your last 3 or 4 years at Badin.

Specific requirements will be discussed in class.

TWOS - For Week of April 12

I'm guessing that we'll find the trees a bit more photogenic when we return, so getting suitable pictures of all candidates will be a top priority this week. Note that this might require some "homework" (non-class) time to get shots with good lighting.

I'm sure there will be site updates waiting, also.

And, it's time for you to start thinking about your Senior site project. We'll talk.

You'll be working with scripting this week.

We'll start with the Javascript Vault, then take a look at a number of on-line libraries.

You'll be incorporating various additional scripts on your site throughout the week.

MONDAY IN-CLASS WORK

ONES -

1. Finish all ASP exercises through 15. 
2. Browse to: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en and click the link on "Adding a Site".
3. Read contents of that page, particularly instructions "To add and verify a site".
4. Add and verify your site!

TWOS - continued work on Trees project. One/all of you e-mail me an update, preferably with a link to an example or two, at the end of the class.

On the side - I'd appreciate it if one of you would update the Cafeteria menu. I've put up a PDF link to the items here. Thanks!
