The Badin JV golf team had one of its best days of the season Wednesday afternoon, as they bested the Hamilton Big Blue at the Twin Run golf course. The Junior Rams defeated Hamilton 192-195, as five golfers shot under 50 on the day. Freshman Tommy Saurber led the Badin attack with a 47. Two more freshman golfers were one shot more at 48, they included J. B. Hunt and Mike Southard, while scoring 49's were freshmen Adam Donges and Corey Nunn. The balanced scoring for the Rams was the key to the victory. The JV's move their record to 3-8 in match play. Next action for the team will be Saturday afternoon at 12:30, as they play in the Moeller Crusader JV Invitational Tournament at the Hickory Woods golf course.

Nice win for the JV team. Especially any time you can beat Hamilton! Each one of you are getting better. Have fun on Saturday afternoon at the Moeller JV tournament. It should be a good tournament with a lot of good teams. Keep working on your chipping game. Keep your head down and make a solid swing through the ball. You have to keep reminding yourself that if you have a bad hole, forget it, go and do your best on the next hole. Allowing a couple of strokes to ruin the rest of your round is not good discipline on your part. You are better than to let that happen to you. Keep up the good work and do you best on Saturday!
Attention all sophomores & juniors --- there will be a float meeting Sunday from 1-3. For directions ask Alex Brown or Alex Hetterich. Your help is needed! Thanks.
There is a JSA meeting Tuesday after school in Mr. Mears room.
Hey, girls, it's time to start thinking about POWERPUFF FOOTBALL again! The game will be the Friday of Homecoming Weekend -- Friday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 at the CYO field. Each class can have a team of 25 girls and can have 5-7 coaches from their class. We will sign up on the first come-first served basis next Wednesday at 7:15 in the lobby. YOU MUST PAY $15 FOR YOUR SHIRT & REGISTRATION upon signing up! If you have any questions please see Mrs. Helms. And, once again, there are no fall sports female athletes permitted to play. We hope to have another game in the spring for you though.
Seniors interested in leading the Freshman Day of Recollection on Friday, Sept. 26, should sign up at the table outside the Religious Ed Office starting today. We need a total of 30 senior leaders.
The first TAG meeting of the year will be on Monday, Sept. 8, immediately after school in the library.
