Two more freshman golfers were one shot more at 48, they included J. B. Hunt and Mike Southard, while scoring 49's were freshmen Adam Donges and Corey Nunn. Nice win for the JV team. Especially any time you can beat Hamilton! Each one of you are getting better. Have fun on Saturday afternoon at the Moeller JV tournament. It should be a good tournament with a lot of good teams. Keep working on your chipping game. Keep your head down and make a solid swing through the ball. You have to keep reminding yourself that if you have a bad hole, forget it, go and do your best on the next hole. Allowing a couple of strokes to ruin the rest of your round is not good discipline on your part. You are better than to let that happen to you. Keep up the good work and do you best on Saturday!

Attention all sophomores & juniors --- there will be a float meeting Sunday from 1-3. For directions ask Alex Brown or Alex Hetterich. Your help is needed! Thanks.

Congratulations to Chad for a job well done today. He was solid all day and the three birdies were great to see. We again were inconsistent as a team today. We just have to rid ourselves of triple and quad bogies. It just wrecks your score. I saw some course management mistakes today. Put the driver in the bag if you are squirting your drives. When you are chipping, please don't leave the chip short where you have to chip again. Get the ball on the putting surface to give yourself a chance at making the putt. Some guys need to respect their 7/8 irons for bump and run shots. The wedge will get you in more trouble in the long run on short chips. There is not much release when the ball hits the green. Putting seems to be getting better overall. I know, Jake, never leave a birdie putt short, ha. Have a good practice tomorrow at Walden Ponds. I will be at the JV match tomorrow. We will practice again on Tuesday at 3:15 at Potters. We will start with some
putting/chipping practice and then go on the course for nine holes. Have a nice Labor Day Weekend!

The Badin JV golf team jumped into some stiff competition on Wednesday afternoon by playing Division I powerhouse Moeller and Milford at Potter's Park. The Rams didn't shy away from the competition even though they didn't win the tri-match. Moeller won with a team total of 168 followed by Milford at 188 and Badin at 197.
Sophomore Geordan Hunt and freshman Tommy Saurber led the Badin attack by shooting 48's. The top four were bunched together, as Adam Donges shot a 50 followed by J. B. Hunt with a 51. The Junior Rams will continue action on Thursday afternoon when they travel to Twin Run to take on the Big Blue of Hamilton. It's an earlier tee off time, as the scoring will begin at 3pm. The Rams are hoping to make it a sweep of Hamilton, as earlier Wednesday afternoon the varsity squad defeated Hamilton by two strokes. Good luck and good shooting on Thursday.
