AFTERNOON ANNOUNCEMENTS

Mr. Finnigan’s 5th Period juniors will need to drip off their religion “Book” & “Binder” in room 009, before leaving today.

Pre sale tickets for Purcell Marion are on sale in the office. The football game is at Walnut Hills at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

All baseball players --- freshmen through seniors: clean up after St. Joe’s Drawdown Sunday morning g at 9:30 a.m. We need all players, even if you are playing football, soccer or golf. Please show up; clean up will only take 1-2 hours.

JKB & AMP students are reminded to turn in their RASKAL forms as soon as possible to Mrs. Marot.

There will be a JKB meeting Tuesday morning at 7:15 in room 206.

All students & faculty are invited to our First Friday Communion Service. Immediately following the communion service, Eucharist Adoration will take place for the entire school day. Come and experience the power of Christ’s true presence.

Don’t forget about the ALS Walk this Sunday at Winton Woods. Registration is at 10 a.m. and the walk starts at 11 a.m. Wear a Badin shirt and be sure you take a Christian Service Form if you want 3 service hours for your participation.

There is a TAG meeting Monday after school in the library. All members should attend. Anyone who wants to be part of TAG has to attend at least 1 meeting per semester. If you cannot attend, please sign the paper on the table outside the Religious Ed Office.

Freshman ambassadors will meet Tuesday, Oct. 6, for 30 minutes after school in the Little Theater. Please plan to attend. If you have questions, check in the Development Office.

Attention all students:Are you interested in raising awareness about the issues of poverty, hunger and homelessness in our world?
Shantytown is back! Badin will participate in this year’s Cincinnati-wide Shantytown weekend on Sunday, October 18th to Monday the 19th. Stop by our table in the cafeteria to lean more about Shantytown. While you are there, you can pick up an information sheet and an application if you’d like to participate. The application, with your $20 donation, will be due to Mr. Homer no later than Tuesday, October 6th.

  • Seniors - if you are going to take an ACT test on Oct. 24, you would be wise to attend a Saturday morning prep session at Lane Public Library on Oct. 10. You would need to register but it is free. You have the phone number in your "senior to do list" packet. You can see Mr. Kenkel if you need it. You can also find preparation booklets in the guidance office. These are full length practice tests with the answers included.

Afternoon Announcements

  • Every Monday in September, eat at Chili's (dine-in or to-go) and Chili's will donate 10% of your check to the men's soccer team. Pick up a voucher in the office, or just tell your server about the Badin fundraiser and they will make sure 10% of your food and drink bill (excluding taxes) will be donated directly to the soccer team.
  • Open House signs are available in the Development Office. Stop by to pick one up for your yard.
  • There will be a Science Club meeting in room 208 after school today. It will last about 15 minutes.
  • All seniors leading this week's sophomore day of recollection are reminded to get a green permission slip from the table outside the religious ed office.
  • All October Kairos leaders are reminded that we will be meeting Wednesday after school in the religious ed office.

  • Badin boys' cross country team placed third among ten teams at the All Ohio Catholic meet Saturday. Top runners for Badin were B. Fritz, E. North, C. Getz, N. Ingram and S. Wade.
  • Rally towels will be on sale tomorrow before school. They are $3.
  • Just a reminder for our seniors: on Wed., Walsh University will be here at 1:00 p.m. On Thursday, Oct. 1 of this week, Wittenberg University will be here also at 1:00 p.m. to speak with interested students. Both schools are lcoated in Ohio and are liberal arts schools. Both schools are well known for their academics. Any senior interested in learning more about a liberal arts institution should sign up today in the counselor's office.
  • Seniors: admission representatives are visiting Badin at a rate of about three per week. Consider attending one or more sessions. If curious, check your packet or come to the guidance office for this information. This week on Monday - St. Mary's College is here and on Wed you can find out more about Walsh University. Thursday,Wittenberg University is here while The University of Cincinnati visits us on Friday. After this Friday, seven more institutions will be available to you in the following week. Check the schedules and plan to attend. When interested, just complete the request to see counselor form.
  • Any seniors who are leading a Sophomore Day of Recollection this Thursday or Friday but did not come to the meeting last night should see Mrs. Helms before leaving today.
  • All Octobe Kairos leaders are reminded that we will be meeting this Wednesday after school for approximately one hour.
