AFTERNOON ANNOUNCEMENTS

Blood Drive workers ---- please see the yellow sheet on the office window for work times and duties.

If giving blood tomorrow remember to drink plenty of fluids and eat breakfast. Also, bring a picture ID with you. Thanks for giving the gift of life!

All February Junior Retreat leaders are reminded that we are meeting tonight from 6-7p.m.

All TAG members are reminded to bring their baked goods for tomorrow’s Blood Drive.

Seniors applying to the Hamilton Community Foundation for scholarships MUST turn in all application papers today due to the potential for bad weather tomorrow.

Pre sale tickets are available for the McNicholas game.

Congratulations to all of the guys who made Cupid’s Court for the Sadie Hawkins Dance. Seniors: J.Fetters, J.Gattermeyer, J.Kulifay, B.Saurber, M.Shamp, A.Thomas; juniors: A.Eyl, N.Ingram, J.Levline; sophomores: P.Gray, C.Martin, H.Stricker, and A.Wendel. The winner will be announced at the dance.

This is a reminder for student council --- decorating for the Sadie Hawkins dance will be tomorrow after school.

AFTERNOON ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to senior Drew Hampton, who signed this morning to play football at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky. Drew will be one of the building blocks of the football program at Lindsey Wilson, as they will play their inaugural season in the fall of 2010.

We will have combined signing reception for our college-bound athletes in the next couple of months, so please keep Ms. Kocher or Mr. Allen informed of your college athletic plans. We don’t want to miss anyone!

Congratulations to Matt Shamp for being named a finalist for the National Football Foundation’s “That’s My Boy” Award! Matt will attend an honoring on February 18th. This is a huge accomplishment. This is the sixth year in a row that Badin has had a finalist.

Congratulations to the Badin Boys & Girls Bowling Teams for defeating Roger Bacon! And congratulations to Chase Brandenburg for bowling a perfect 300 game for a 554 series.

There will be a JSA meeting after school today in Mr. Mears’ room. Everyone is welcome.

There will NOT be a Marketing Study Session today but there will be one Thursday after school and evening.

Students who are going to the Sadie Hawkins Dance are asked to buy their tickets Thursday at lunch. We would like to have an idea of how many people will be attending before Friday. If people don’t buy tickets for the Sadie Hawkins Dance by tomorrow, the dance will be canceled.

There will be a JKB meeting tomorrow morning at 7:20 for all members. Juniors and seniors need to bring both sold and unsold Hoe-Down tickets along with a $10 check.

AFTERNOON ANNOUNCEMENTS

Pro Life Club will meet this Thursday after school. Final plans for the Tatiana Concert will be made. Meeting will run from 2:30-3:00 p.m. We will then travel to St. Raphael’s on High Street to help sort clothes for the needy and homeless. All students are invited. See Mr. Finnigan for details.

Pre sale tickets are available for the Badin vs. Carroll boy’s basketball game.

All TAG members need to take a blue sheet from the table outside the Religious Ed Office sometime today.

Any students in need of Christian Service Hours are asked to sign up for St. Peter’s Market Day Sale next Thursday evening. The sign up sheet is located on the table outside the Religious Ed Office.

Tickets for the Sadie Hawkins Dance will be sold at lunch all week. The dance is Saturday from 8-12 in the Badin cafeteria and tickets are $20 for a couple and $15 for a stag ticket.

Seniors please be reminded to turn your Hamilton Community Foundation applications to Mrs. U. in the office this morning.

The girls swim team placed 3rd at the GCL Meet and the boys finished 4th. Some top 3 finishers were: Lisa Fetters-2nd in 50 & 100 Free; Molly Doody-1st in 200 & 500 Free; Tam Flavin-2nd in 100 Back & 100 Fly; Maria Salerno-2nd in 100 Breast; and the Badin girls relay took 1st! For the guys, Brent Fritz-2nd in the 100 Fly & 500 Free; Dan Fabelo-3rd in Back; and the relay took 4th. Good Job Rams!
