Afternoon Announcements.

  • Baseball practice is behind school at 4:00 p.m. today.
  • All spring sports athletes are reminded to attend the mandatory player/parent meeting this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the gym.
  • Articles of clothing found in the PFAC are now in the lost & found in the main office. We will keep them here until spring break then will donate all items to Goodwill. Please claim if yours before spring break.
  • Starting next week, tickets will be on sale for the musical Annie. Tickets start at $10 a ticket or if you have a group they are $8. Seats are filling quickly so please don't wait.
  • Boys' track practice at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Meet in the front lobby.
  • Seniors: If you have any college and/or scholarship applications that are due before we return to school on April 12 or the day we return, please give them to Mr. Kenkel no later than Wednesday, March 24.
  • The Ohio High School Athletic Assn. is awarding a scholarship to a student who has participated in athletics but will not receive an athletic scholarship to a Division 1 or 2 school or to a military academy. Grade point average plus ACT or SAT score is considered. See Mr. Kenkel if you are interested.

St. Raphael's has recently expanded their hours on Wed., Thurs. and Fri. until 8 p.m. Consider serving the needs of others during this lenten season. Sign up in your religion class or see Mr. Hosmer with questions.
  • If you have already signed up to serve at St. Raphael.... thank you! Your religion teacher will have a roster for you in class providing the days and times to report to St. Raphael's for this week and next. Stop by the religious ed office by the end of the day to see Mr. Hosmer in order to confirm.

Color Guard rehearsal in canceled for Thursday.

Pro-Life Club will meet on Thursday after school from 2:30-3:00 p.m. We will then be going to St. Raphael’s from 3 to 5:30 p.m. All students will be invited to go. Pizza and pop will be provided for all Pro-Life Club members.

The History Club meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled. The History Club will meet after school on Monday in room 011. All members are encouraged to attend.

Miami University-Oxford is offering 6 to 9 college credits for summer classes. Juniors, you are eligible to take advantage of this opportunity. There are many courses to choose from. See Mr. Kenkel today if you would like more information.

  • Artworks is hiring for the summer. This six week program runs from June 14 through July 23. You must interview and show art work at that time. Pay is $7.30 per hour. More information is available in the guidance office at the door.
  • Attention seniors and juniors: There is still time to apply for a summer internship that pays up to $3000. The deadline to apply for the summer sickle cell science program is March 30. Information about this opportunity can be found in the entry area of the guidance department.
  • McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital is looking for volunteers. This opportuity is available to current freshmen. If interested, pick up an information packet in the guidance office.
  • Juniors going on junior retreat this week need to be sure they bring their permission slips or they will not get on the bus. There are extra copies on the table outside the religious ed office.
  • All JSA members planning to attend Winter Congress or Spring State must attend the meeting today after school in Mr. Mears' room.
