Afternoon Announcements

  • Boys' Volleyball tryouts will be in the main gym from 7-9 p.m. every night this week. All should attend tryouts tonight.
  • Girls' Volleyball will have a player-parent meeting tonight in the cafeteria at 7:00 p.m. Anyone planning to play girls' volleyball should attend this important meeting.
  • All February & March Junior Retreat Leaders need to see Mrs. Helms before leaving today.
  • Girls' soccer Futsal training will begin this Sunday, March 14 from 7-8:15 p.m. in the PFAC. Current players should contact Coach Stewart if you are not able to make it. Anyong interested in playing soccer in the fall is encouraged to attend.
  • Hey Students! Now is your chance to honor your favorite teacher with an award from Panera Bread! All you need to do is write a 100 to 200 word essay about why your teacher is the best and how they "rise above" all the rest. If your essay is selected, your teacher will be awarded with prizes like a $500 grant for his/her classroom...plus, you could win a $100 Borders Books gift card to go with it. The contest runs from March 1-31. Visit Panera Bread to pick up a registration form and get started.
  • Any juniors who want to be added to this week's junior retreat list need to see Mrs. Helms before leaving today.
  • Are you interested in volunteering at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital this summer? Experience inpatient care, physical therapy, emergency, obstetrics, office environments or imaging. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the health field and also to provide service. Pick up an information sheet in the guidance office near the door.
  • There is a TAG meeting today at 2:40 p.m. in the library. All members are urged to attend.Don't forget to bring your donations for Haiti. Just one toiletry item or $1 will enter you in a raffle worth at least $50.
  • All juniors planning to go on the Junior Retreat this Thursday and Friday are reminded to get their permission slips in to the Campus Ministry Office as soon as possible.
  • There will be an executive board meeting for student council on Wednesday after school.
  • Seniors - if you did not receive a packet for the senior ramble, please see your homeroom teacher or Mr. Allen in the development office.
  • Track practice today at Fairfield track at 5:15 p.m.
