Afternoon Announcements
- Reminder - Varsity Softball at 3:00 p.m. at field at Joyce Park. JV at 4:30 p.m.
- The cafeteria will be having a ham and cheese sub bar tomorrow.
- Boys' reserve baseball will be behind the school at 4:00 p.m. today.
- Boys' varsity baseball will be in the PFAC at 6:00 p.m.
- Pro-Life Club will meet on Thursday after school from 2:30-3:00 p.m. We will then go to St. Raphael's from 3-5:30 p.m. All students will be invited to go. Pizza & pop will be provided for all Pro-Life Club members.
- Juniors: Would you like the opportunity to earn three college credits over the summer for free?! The University of Dayton offers this possibility to you. Classes generally run from June 21 to July 31. If interested, pick up a printed flyer in the guidance office.
- Artworks is hiring for the summer. This six week program runs from June 14 through July 23. You must interview and show art work at that time. Pay is $7.30 per hour. More information is available in the guidance office at the door.
- Attention seniors and juniors: There is still time to apply for a summer internship that pays up to $3000. The deadline to apply for the summer sickle cell science program is March 30. Information about this opportunity can be found in the entry area of the guidance department.
- McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital is looking for volunteers. This opportuity is available to current freshmen. If interested, pick up an information packet in the guidance office.
- Juniors going on junior retreat this week need to be sure they bring their permission slips or they will not get on the bus. There are extra copies on the table outside the religious ed office.
- All JSA members planning to attend Winter Congress or Spring State must attend the meeting today after school in Mr. Mears' room.
- Boys' volleyball tryouts are in the main gym tonight from 7-9 p.m.
- All students and faculty are invited to our Lenten Communion Service this Friday before school. Deacon Mike Mignery will be here to celebrate with us.
- Students in need of service hours...listen up! Hamilton's Catholic Social Service Agency still needs our help! St. Raphael's (located on High St.) has recently expanded their hours on Wed., Thurs. and Fridays until 8 p.m. Consider serving the needs on others during this Lenten Season of praying, fasting and giving. - For the students who have already signed up to serve at St. Raphael's...Thank you for signing up! Your religion teacher will have a roster for you today in class providing the days and times to report to St. Raphael's for this week and next. Stop by the religious ed office by the end of the day to see Mr. Hosmer in order to confirm.
- Finally, students in need of service hours for next year... The MetroParks of Butler County will host "The Great Cardboard Regatta" at Voice of America Park this summer on July 16 & 17. They will need student volunteers to help with parking, registration and clean-up. To learn more about this event, check out metroparksofbutlercounty.org.
- Hey Students! Now is your chance to honor your favorite teacher with an award from Panera Bread! All you need to do is write a 100 to 200 word essay about why your teacher is the best and how they "rise above" all the rest! If your essay is selected your teacher will be awarded with prizes like a $500 grant for his/her classroom...plus, you could win a $100 Borders Books gift card to go with it. - Girls' soccer futsal training will begin this Sunday, March 14 from 7-8:15 p.m. in the PFAC. Current players should contact Coach Stewart if you are not able to make it. Anyone interested in playing soccer in the fall is encouraged to attend.
