MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Guidance Office wants to thank everyone for your consideration of our presenters yesterday. All 3 guests were impressed with your attentiveness. 1st bell teachers should distribute the materials associated with the presentation. Everyone should take some time to become familiar with this information.

Seniors: Please remember to return to the main office the yellow “Post High School Plans” sheet. DUE DATE: FRIDAY, APRIL 30TH. The information that you provide is very necessary for us in sending your final transcript & for tabulating other necessary information needed for the school profile that is sent to colleges.

The Patrick Connelly Memorial Scholarship for $1000 is available to any senior who will be attending Miami University-Oxford or Miami University-Hamilton. The deadline is May 7. See Mr. Kenkel for an application. Hurry, the deadline to return this scholarship to Mr. Kenkel is May 7.

Students who are interested in interviewing to be an ambassador for the next school year should sign up this week in the Development Office. If you have any questions, see Mr. Allen or Mrs. Gray.

Science Club will be having a meeting today & tomorrow after school. All people participating in Envirothon please come, we will be having guest speakers.

All students and faculty are invited to our Thursday Morning Mass. Don’t miss this great opportunity. Mass begins at 7:15 a.m.

The Sisters of St. Dominic in Madeira cordially invite all Badin girls interested in learning more about religious life to come to their monthly “Prayers & Pizza” night this Sunday, May 2, 2010 starting at 5 p.m. The evening will conclude around 7:30 p.m. This will be the final “Prayers & Pizza” of the school year, so don’t miss out!
The final due date for submitting all service hours for the 2009-2010 school year will be Monday, May 17th. This due date applies to all grade levels. Questions? Please see your religion teacher for more details.

Softball games are cancelled for today. Varsity practice in the PFAC at 3 p.m. & JV practice in the PFAC at 4:30 p.m.

The baseball games are canceled today. JV practice is at 6 p.m. and varsity practice is at 7:30 – both in the PFAC. Badin will play Moeller on Thursday, April 29.

Auditions for Badin’ Variety Show are tomorrow at 6:30 in the Little Theater. Pick up an audition sheet from Mr. Mears, Mr. O’Hara or on the office counter.

The boy’s JV volleyball team defeated Princeton last night to move to a record of 5-4. Also, the boy’s varsity volleyball team defeated Princeton for the first win in Badin boy’s volleyball history! Congratulations!

This Thursday, April 22nd at the Colligan Lodge in Veterans Park, there will be a Youth Forum to discuss, “Making Hamilton Beautiful”. This is for all Badin and Hamilton high school students. It will take place from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Come and talk about what you would like to see happen in Hamilton to make it more beautiful.

In honor of Earth Week, we invite students, faculty & staff to help keep our environment clean! We will meet in the lobby tomorrow (Tuesday, April 20th) after school at 2:45 p.m. to walk around our campus and pick up trash. Students who attend will earn one (1) service hour. Interested? Simply show up tomorrow in the lobby at 2:45 p.m.

  • Ambassadors who saw Mr. Allen this morning regarding the Annual Fund Phone-a-Thon, please see him in the Development Office on your way out today.
  • All freshmen and sophomores are asked to bring a rosary to the Communal Reconciliation Service on Wednesday.
  • Boys' reserve baseball will be behind the school at 5:00 today.
  • Saint Mary's College will be visiting us on March 25 during 4th bell. Seniors and juniors who are interested in learning more about the private, liberal arts college located in Indiana are welcome to attend. Simply fill out the request to see your counselor form if you wish to attend.
  • Boys' volleyball tryouts continue tonight from 7-9 p.m. in the main gym. Anyone interested in playing should attend.
  • The History Club will meet after school on Thursday in room 011.
  • Girls' track practice is at 3:15 p.m. today in the PFAC. Please meet in the lobby with L. Fetters after school.
